Oxford Instruments plc Appointment of Non-Executive Director  Mary Waldner

Oxford Instruments plc, a leading provider of high-technology tools and systems for industry and research, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Waldner as an Independent Non-Executive Director. She will join the Board from 4 February 2016 with a view to succeeding Jock Lennox as Chairman of the Audit & Risk Committee in due course.

Mary is currently Group FD of Ultra Electronics Holdings PLC, a FTSE 250 company which operates in the defence and aerospace sector. She is shortly to leave Ultra Electronics to take up the role of CFO at Lloyd’s Register, privately-owned global engineering, technical and business services organisation. Mary has a broad range of experience across a variety of sectors having held senior financial positions with a number of major public and private companies including QinetiQ. Mary graduated from Oxford University with an MA in Physics and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
