Oxford Instruments launches global Insight Awards 2026

This year’s awards programme recognises outstanding scientific imagery and applications enabled by Oxford Instruments technologies 

Oxford Instruments has today announced the launch of its Insight Awards, a global awards programme recognising outstanding achievements, discoveries and visualisations enabled by Oxford Instruments technologies. 

The 2027 awards bring together the scientific technology leader’s established recognition programmes under a single initiative, designed to celebrate the cutting-edge work being carried out worldwide across industry, academia, national laboratories and research institutes. Open to researchers, engineers and innovators using any Oxford Instruments technology, the programme features two award categories: the Image Awards and the Application Awards. Each category will feature Platinum, Gold and Bronze awards, recognising excellence across both visualisation and application.

The Image Awards recognise scientifically significant and visually captivating microscopy images, maps, spectra, graphics, datasets and videos. The Application Awards provide entrants with the opportunity to tell the story behind their scientific and technological applications of Oxford Instruments products, showcasing how they are working to advance knowledge, solve complex challenges and create real-world benefits.

This year, for each of the first 100 Insight Awards entries received, Oxford Instruments will donate £10 to Science Oxford – a UK charity inspiring young people about science, technology, engineering and maths through family, community and school programmes.
