Oxford Instruments opens new technical training suite at state-of-the-art UK facility

Oxford Instruments has unveiled a state-of-the-art technical training suite at its Bristol facility, designed to support customers and industry professionals in maximising the performance of Plasma Technology systems.

Oxford Instruments (OXIG), a leading provider of advanced plasma processing solutions for the compound semiconductor industry, announces the opening of its new, state-of-the-art training suite at its Bristol facility, UK. This facility will host the company's Technical Training programme, offering in-depth courses to help customers, partners, and industry professionals maximise the potential of their Plasma Technology systems.

Equipped with the latest tools and resources, the training suite also includes a customer lounge and private meeting rooms. It will serve as the hub for a comprehensive training programme covering system operation, process optimisation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Courses cover the full range of plasma etch, deposition, atomic layer etch (ALE), atomic layer deposition (ALD), and Ionbeam technologies, and the training is available for operators, engineers, researchers, and scientists, with the full schedule of courses available to view.


The programme features hands-on training with operational systems, instruction from highly knowledgeable and certified trainers with many years of field service experience, and flexible learning options, including on-site, virtual, and off-site training. Bespoke courses can also be developed to meet specific customer needs. Participants will gain practical skills and deeper knowledge to optimise system performance and reliability.

The training programme encompasses a variety of courses tailored to different needs, including hardware and process development training designed to suit all requirements and skills levels. Formal assessment and grading is available to demonstrate the skills gained, starting with basic system operator training for new users, and intermediate level maintenance for equipment engineers. Our premium advanced-level training offers comprehensive instruction on system maintenance, alongside advanced fault-finding techniques and theory. From entry-level operation through to high-level maintenance, fault-finding and process development, the courses are designed to upskill candidates to maximise the output and performance of their Plasma Technology system.
