Finding the right camera for a telescope depends on many factors. For example, the sensor sensitivity and speed requirements of an astronomical observing project. Furthermore, matching a camera to a telescope depends on the telescope’s focal length, seeing conditions and sensor pixel size. In this webinar, I will present a brief overview of different telescope designs, their most important properties, followed by a training module on how to match cameras with telescopes and astronomical filters.

The learning objectives:

  • Learn about different telescope types/designs
  • Get familiar with the most important telescope properties
  • Get familiar with the most important telescope properties
