Watch how easy it is to cut graphene with AFM using anodic oxidation lithography, a standard feature in our software. Graphene cutting can be used to make twisted bilayer graphene and a variety of other novel graphene-based nanostructures such as nanoribbons and quantum point contacts. Cuts can be defined from freehand lines or predefined patterns through our standard Nanolithography feature. The high performance AFMs from Oxford Instruments offer a complete solution for 2D materials research, from cutting, to tip-mediated cleaning, to routine moiré characterization.
