UK Silicon Carbide Network Conference 2026

Join us at the UK Silicon Carbide Network Conference 2026

The inaugural UK SiC Network Conference 2026 will take place on 7–8 September 2026 at the University of Warwick, bringing together the UK’s Silicon Carbide (SiC) community.

SiC is a vital technology enabling high-efficiency power electronics for electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and AI data centre infrastructure. The conference will unite researchers, manufacturers, suppliers, technology developers, and OEMs to strengthen collaboration across the UK SiC ecosystem.

The event aims to showcase UK capabilities and innovation, accelerate the transition from research to commercial deployment, and explore opportunities within global supply chains. It will also address skills development, workforce needs, and the role of SiC in the UK’s semiconductor and industrial strategies, with participation from government and funding organisations. For further information, visit the UK SiC Network Conference 2026.

As SiC devices move from research into high-volume manufacturing, Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology supports the industry with advanced Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), plasma etch, and plasma deposition solutions that help optimise device performance and minimise process-induced damage.
Its specialised SiC etch, passivation, and dielectric deposition technologies enable the manufacture of high-performance power devices for electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and AI-driven power infrastructure.

Oxford Instruments materials analysis techniques such as AFM, Raman, EBSD, and EDS provide detailed correlative characterisation of SiC across research and development, production, and quality control stages. This enables detailed insights into material, structural and electronic properties, for example, growth, uniformity, dimensions, defects, stress, strain, doping, polytype distribution, bandgap, contamination, and failure analysis. These are critical to meet growing demands for performance, efficiency, and reliability.

By collaborating closely with industry and academia, Oxford Instruments helps accelerate innovation across the UK SiC ecosystem, making the UK SiC Network Conference an ideal forum for exploring the manufacturing solutions needed to bring next-generation power electronics to market.

We invite you to visit the Oxford Instruments booth and discover how our technologies can help advance your work. To schedule a dedicated meeting with our team during the event, please fill in the form below.
