Optical Spectroscopy @ Boston College

Optical Spectroscopy at Boston College

Optical spectroscopy can identify elements, measure the stiffness of molecular bonds, take the temperature of plasma, and more. In this short course, we will cover techniques, theory, equipment, and history related to optical spectroscopy. We’ll break down some example experiments and show how the capabilities and limitations of common methods shape their use.

Lunch, refreshments, hands-on activities, and equipment demos will be provided.
