Modular Optical Spectroscopy @ Yale University

Modular Optical Spectroscopy at Yale University

Oxford Instruments Andor Presents: Modular Optical Spectroscopy, Practical Detection Technologies for Steady-State and Time-Resolved Applications.

This 2-3 hour short course offers a comprehensive introduction to the practical aspects of modular optical spectroscopy, focusing on key detection instruments and their real-world applications.

Participants will delve into the fundamentals of spectrometers, scientific cameras, and single-channel detectors, exploring their configurations, strengths, and limitations in modular setups. The curriculum covers both steady-state spectroscopy for equilibrium measurements and time-resolved techniques for dynamic processes, with examples drawn from diverse fields such as materials characterization, biomedical imaging, environmental sensing, and chemical kinetics.

Through interactive discussions, case studies, and practical demonstrations, attendees will learn how to select, integrate, and optimize these tools for efficient data acquisition and analysis, empowering them to apply modular spectroscopy effectively in research and industry settings. No prior expertise is required.
