Imaris in Focus: from Fundamentals to Advanced Image Analysis

Imaris is the leading platform for multidimensional microscopy image analysis, offering a reproducible and user-friendly solution for a wide range of life-science applications. Imaris helps researchers ensure their data is analyzed in a consistent and reproducible manner, making it ready for publication.

This workshop event has been designed to educate both new and existing Imaris users on how to make the most of their Imaris experience. We will start with an Introduction and Overview session, covering what kinds of analysis tools Imaris offers, how to navigate through the Imaris user interface, and a few example analysis workflows.

In the afternoon, we will offer three Focus Sessions where we will take a deeper dive into specific analysis applications. Our first focus session will cover how to display your data in Imaris. This session will review data visualization tools including Imaris Vantage, Animations and Snapshots, along with helpful tips for creating eye-catching figures.

This event has been created to help you accomplish your image analysis goals. We are offering a chance for the Penn research community to weigh in and help decide what to cover in the remaining two Focus Session slots. When registering, please be sure to indicate what challenges you're facing and which image analysis topics would be most helpful to learn more about. A few weeks before the event, we will review your responses and choose the remaining two Focus Session topics.

Registration is required for this event. Registrants will receive a link to the event a few days ahead of time. This event will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

This event is open to any researcher in the Philadelphia metro area. Current and future Imaris users of any level are welcome.

Please bear in mind that this event will be recorded and shared internally for use as a teaching resource.
