Imaris in Focus: from Fundamentals to Advanced Image Analysis

Imaris is the leading platform for multidimensional microscopy image analysis, offering a reproducible and user-friendly solution for a wide range of life-science applications. Imaris helps researchers ensure their data is analyzed in a consistent and reproducible manner, making it ready for publication.

This workshop event has been designed to educate both new and existing Imaris users on how to make the most of their Imaris experience. We will start with an Introduction and Overview session, covering what kinds of analysis tools Imaris offers, how to navigate through the Imaris user interface, and a few example analysis workflows.

In the afternoon, we will offer Focus Sessions where we will take a deeper dive into specific analysis applications. The first Focus Session will cover common Neuroscience Applications. We will review the Imaris Filament Tracer, how to use this tool for analysis of filamentous objects and spines, and considerations to take when analyzing these kinds of structures.

Our second Focus Session will cover tools for Colocalization and Spatial Measurements. During this session, we will review the types of colocalization tools in Imaris, how to measure distance and overlap between structures, and how to choose which measurement is most appropriate for your research question.

Registration is required
