Condensed Matter and Quantum Materials (CMQM)

June 21-23, 2021

The CMQM 2021 conference will be a forum for the wider UK Condensed Matter Physics community as part of the annual CMQM series. The conference will cover topics of current and general importance in condensed mater physics ranging from Superconductivity to Magnetism, from Non-equilibrium physics to Topological Materials, and from Surface physics to Semiconductors.

We are pleased to confirm that this conference will now be held as a virtual event. The conference will host plenary talks, parallel sessions, and scientific posters as well as an industry exhibition.

The CMQM is supported by numerous groups of the Institute of Physics:

  • Superconductivity
  • Magnetism
  • Low Temperatures
  • Thin Films and Surfaces
  • Theory of Condensed Matter
  • Nanoscale Physics and Technology Group

The CMQM is also supported by the EPSRC funded Centre's for Doctoral Training in Condensed Matter Physics: the CDT-CMP and the CM-CDT.
