Benchtop NMR Capabilities and Limitations: An X-Pulse Workshop at Auburn

Benchtop NMR capability has increased dramatically over the last decade. But despite these advances only a small number of scientists have had firsthand experience with benchtop NMR. Oxford Instruments has partnered with the Auburn NMR facility to offer a unique opportunity to learn about the capabilities and limitations of benchtop instruments without having to leave the Auburn campus.

The applications scientist from Oxford Instruments will present a general overview of capabilities as well as best practices for using a benchtop NMR, followed by a hands-on demonstration and lunch. There will be time to run your samples after the workshop and in the days to follow. Join us to satisfy your benchtop NMR curiosity!

May 12, 2026 - Agenda to include:

  • A Brief Introduction to NMR
  • Benchtop vs. High-field considerations
  • Multinuclear NMR: 1H, 13C, and beyond!
  • 2D Experiments
  • Diffusion Experiments
  • Flow and VT NMR
  • Hands-on Demonstrations - Feel free to bring your own samples!
    • Will be available May 13 and 14.
