Bio-EDS Workshop at Oxford University

Biological Energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry with an introduction to AFM

Oxford Instruments have partnered with the Dunn School EM Facility at the University of Oxford to host a two day free* workshop on Biological Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectrometry (EDS). This workshop is designed to introduce biological researchers to the theory behind EDS, as well as it's biological applications and how to best utilise it within your own research and interpret the results. Expect to hear from several invited speakers about their research making use of EDS on biological specimens.

As well as talks you will engage with our technique experts with daily practical sessions on SEM, TEM and AFM.

You can expect to learn:

  • The theoretical underpinnings of EDS
  • How EDS can elevate the analysis of biological specimens
  • Research highlights from guest speakers

*This workshop will be free to attend, includes lunch over both days and dinner on the evening of the 25th
