HelioxVL

HelioxVL

A sample-in-vacuum 3He refrigerator that provides a simple means of cooling samples below 260mK for over 60 hours.

It can be integrated with most Oxford Instruments magnet systems or used directly in any helium storage dewar which has sufficient access (only 52mm required).

An in-built cryopump traps contaminants so no blockages occur during operation.

The combination of cryogenic pumping and a coil condenser at 1K provides an excellent environment for vibration-sensitive measurements.

Its small footprint ensures very fast turnaround times (comparable to top-loading systems.)

Magnetic Fields

  • The HelioxVL can be easily integrated with a special solenoid (up to 6 tesla) mounted on to the IVC tube thus providing a magnetic field in a transport dewar.
  • For magnetic fields up to 18 tesla, the HelioxVL is combined with conventional magnetic environments from the Integra product range.

Options

  • A range of non-standard wiring including 24 way connector wired to helium 3 pot, 4 off flexible stainless steel co-ax cables wired to helium 3 pot, 24 way wired connector and 4 off flexible stainless steel co-ax cables wired to helium 3 pot and UT-85 cable wired to 1 K plate.
  • (External) 1K stage pumping system
  • Calibrated ruthenium oxide sensors on the 3He pot
  • High temperature option extended to 300K (zero field) or 100K (in field).

Integra systems options include:

  • 100/150/200mm clear sample space to field centre line
  • Low eddy current sample holder
  • Manual or automatic Swedish rotator.
