Cryoplex cryocoolers

Known by several names (coldhead, refrigerator, cryocooler, coldfinger), the cryocooler is the single or two-stage refrigerator that is the heart of a cryopump. The two stage models are able to provide different watts of cooling rated at 77 kelvin and 20 kelvin on each stage, (the normal operating temperature of the second stage is 10 kelvin).

There are three models ranging from 20 – 65 watts on the first stage and 5 – 12 watts on the second stage.  The mating flanges are standard o-ring sealed or conflat ® metal gasket sealed.

The model 350 CS can be powered by the model 125 compressor (air or water cooled), the larger cryocoolers and multiples of the 350 CS cooler can be powered by the model M600 compressor (air or water cooled).
