Training courses

Plasmalab800Plus plasma etch and deposition tool

We provide a range of training for users and maintenance staff:

User training
User training is usually given at the time of system delivery, but on request we can arrange training for new users or as a refresher course. Such course can include both operation and theoretical training.

Maintenance training
An Oxford Instruments trained laboratory technician/engineer is an investment in optimising the performance of your system, helping to maximise your investment in your products.

For Plasmalab® products, two courses are offered:

  • 3-day course for open-load systems
    • Plasmalab80Plus
    • Plasmalab800Plus
  • 5-day course for load-locked systems
    • PlasmalabSystem100
    • PlasmalabSystem133
    • PlasmalabSystem400

Our Plasmalab courses are generally run every 4 weeks and are held at our facility in Yatton, near Bristol in the United Kingdom. If you wish to arrange training on your own site, please contact us for details.

MBE, ALD and ion beam courses are tailored to your requirement – please contact us to discuss your needs.

Course content includes both classroom and ‘hands-on’ instruction by one of our senior engineers plus maintenance manual, CDs and instructional videos. On successful completion of the course the attendee will be an Oxford Instruments certified maintenance engineer for 12 months, which entitles you to discounts on any maintenance agreement purchased.
