Space technology

Our extensive and often unique expertise in X-ray and gamma-ray detector technology and spectral analysis is used in the demanding environment of space exploration and research. We have designed, developed and produced customised instruments and components, such as position sensitive proportional counters, solid-state spectrometers and detector arrays, ultra-thin X-ray windows and filters. In addition we have developed sub-mm bolometer technology and  space debris sensors.

Unique expertise in space technology

While some of the instruments are already launched and operational, some are waiting to be launched. The developed technology is readily adaptable for use on Earth in physics research and in harsh industrial or field environments.
