Technical Skills: MS or PhD degree in relevant engineering or science discipline. Project Management skills and, preferably, qualification. Significant experience of product development in the semiconductor or related industry. Proven experience in a role in which you owned and delivered a tangible product development. Strong epitaxial experience, GaN experience preferably by HVPE. Excellent understanding of physics of III-N epitaxy process. Reactor modelling using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software. Experience in material characterization techniques: AFM, Hall, capacitance-voltage, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction, photoluminescence or similar characterization techniques. Perform as necessary all tasks related to epitaxial growth (e.g. epitaxial layer characterization, equipment maintenance, experiment design and scheduling). LED product and process knowledge beneficial. Process development for mass production of III-Nitride based HBLEDs desirable.

Responsibilities: Respond quickly to process issues in the field during emergency breakdowns, warranty service and service contract work. Provide technical process troubleshooting and liaison with customers. Demonstrate process performance of tools installed at customer’s sites to pass customer acceptance tests and achieve system acceptance. Develop an excellent working knowledge of the technology to facilitate faultfinding and root cause analysis on processing results or equipment performance to deliver optimised process and hardware performance. Carry out customer training both at OIPT and at customer sites. Liaise with the process department and development teams to gain a working knowledge of new processing requirements for NGP / ALD and other new market technologies.
Technical Skills: A relevant science or engineering degree, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. At least 2 years experience in the semiconductor industry or relevant experience in an academic institution. Exposure to Ion Beam and MBE processes. Thin film measuring skills (e.g. SEMS).At least one of Ion Beam (Deposition and / or Etch); MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy); General deposition or etch experience.
